Cereal, Alberta - Tourism

The Village of Cereal, a prairie village is nestled in the Alberta’s Special Area in the Canadian Badlands is a history buffs’ dream. With a historic downtown and a beautiful country museum, this little community is a great place to stop for a coffee and a tour. The old Marshall Wells store is still standing, allowing for plenty of reminiscing as you walk by and peak in the windows. The Cereal Prairie Pioneer Museum is a treat; this Museum chronicles the life and times of the early western Canadian settler.

A tour around this carefully organized museum is must-do for history buffs. The trials and tribulations of the early western Canadian settlers, is beautifully chronicled in this well kept set of buildings, including old jail house and hospital. Spend a few moments, flipping through the vast archives or tour the many outbuildings that are full of historic surprises. The Museum is open summer months to tourists.

Cereal Board of Trade Campground

This newly renovated campground shows that this little village is full of enthusiasm. The Cereal Board of Trade and the Village Council has worked hard to create a great place to pull your RV to, with all the amenities the modern camper needs.
